About Us

Indo Coconut Protectors is the Indonesian division of Coconut Protectors. Our main goal is to help stop the spread of Coconut Disease in Indonesia and start reforestation projects.

Coconut Protectors was started by Philippe Visintainer in January 2000. The Hawaii division was started first in conjunction with the University of Hawaii, when about 15% of all the coconut trees on the islands’ started to die from the disease Coconut Heart Rot. They worked together to find a preventative serum to inject into the uninfected palms to keep them from getting the disease.

Now Philippe has started the Europe and Indonesia divisions of Coconut Protectors to battle diseases that are taking over the Coconut Palms in the other regions of the world.
